The Webuild Story

Disrupting the
Construction Industry:

Building retail locations
faster and for up to 4x Less.

Looking at the construction industry with fresh eyes, it was clear there was a better way to go about it.
So I pulled together an allstar team to
change things.

Back in 2016 I had a big problem.

I had launched my superfood quickserve restaurant, everbowl. People loved it. No problem there.

However, each restaurant cost between $250,000 and $350,000 to build! This made scaling quickly and profitably nearly impossible, unless of course I wanted to risk more money per location, or take on significant debt! Two things I had no interest in doing.

Everybody in the industry assured me that this was just the way it was…. However, I’m not the kind of guy to accept the status quo!

So naturally, I started a construction and fabrication company focused on disrupting the restaurant and franchise industry, with zero construction experience mind you…. I couldn’t put together Legos, let alone build an entire restaurant!

But, by assembling an all-star team, we set out to build a retail location UNDER six figures — instead of multiple six figures.

Today, WeBuild lets me build two, three, even four restaurants for the price of one,
which allows us to scale fast and pass on the savings to our franchisees.

The WeBuild vision disrupts the old-way of doing construction:

WeBuild specializes in custom design, fabrication, and installation, propelling your business growth with unmatched speed and efficiency.

Starting out, I knew nothing about construction.
Give me a hammer or screwdriver and I’m clueless.
But like I always say, experience is overrated.

If you wait around building the experience you think you need to enter a new industry, you’ll be waiting a lifetime. It’s tempting to believe that you need to learn one more thing or work one more year. Years can be wasted waiting, instead of doing.

But here’s the thing…

If you want to start a company, experience isn’t a prerequisite. In fact, it’s entirely overrated. If you are willing to let go of your ego and surround yourself with incredible talent, experience is a non-issue.

Like I said, when I launched WeBuild, I knew nothing about construction… Zip. Nada. But I knew there was an abundance of qualified, talented human beings who did.

My job? To seek them out and bring them on board. And I did just that using the principle of Relationship Capital.

When you can build the right relationships, you can enter
any industry with zero experience and succeed.

Turning a cost center into a profit center is our competitive advantage.

In business, if you can turn a cost center into a profit center, you become almost unstoppable. This means an operational function that costs other companies money, actually makes you money. It’s like turning water into wine.

They transformed cost centers into revenue generators making billions of dollars a year through Amazon Web Services, Fulfillment by Amazon, Amazon Payments and more…

And that’s exactly what we did with WeBuild.

Not only do we now make money instead of losing money on every build, but we build them faster and cheaper. This also means the store opens quicker and the franchisee makes money quicker. And this is all self-sustaining, generating more builds — like a flywheel.

What’s more, with WeBuild, we can build stores exactly how we want them to be. On time and always within budget.

Because of the incredible construction expertise that we’ve assembled, we’re one of the fastest growing construction companies in the country.

WeBuild was created
to solve our biggest problems.
Turns out Shaquille O’Neal, Drew Brees and thousands
of business owners needed theirs solved too.

We’re privileged to help other entrepreneurs achieve their
retail visions. This includes Shaquille O’Neal’s Big Chicken
franchise and Drew Brees’ Stretch Zone franchise.

Want your next retail location built faster for less?

And we’re just getting started…

The WeBuild success formula
summed up in three simple principles

Principle 1

Make construction more efficient, faster and more cost-effective through better systems.

Principle 2

Kaizen — get 1% better every
day and be change-ready.

Principle 3

Experience is overrated — let go
of your ego and surround
yourself with incredible talent.

Helping brick-and-mortar
entrepreneurs across categories
realize their retail visions.
